A chartered accountant in practice for many years, now retired, Paul is the founding music director of the Aotea Youth Symphony. He has performed and broadcast over the years in various genre on several instruments. Among a number of business and governance roles he was a trustee of the Auckland Town Hall Organ Trust and is presently a trustee of the New Zealand String Quartet Trust and the St James Auckland Charitable Trust.
