In 2016 Blaise Malabar received a grant from the Kiri Te Kanawa Foundation (UK) in recognition of his performances in the 2015 BBC Cardiff Singer of the Year to support his entry to the MA Opera Performance course at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.
